The salmon fjord
In the central part of Lebesby municipality are many settlements along the Laksefjord, from the Veidnes spit to the west, to Kunes in the south, and to Bekkarfjord in the north. There are many cabins and dwellings all along the coast, and several shops. There are excellent opportunities for hiking, camping and fishing.
Local food

Bekkarfjord
Bekkarfjord has vast green fields and cultivated land, and is the home of Northern Norway's largest and most northern egg farm. On the other side of the fjord is the world's northernmost dairy farm. There are marked hiking trails and the Laggo salmon fishing river is within easy reach.
Lebesby
The Lebesby settlement is the "capital" of the Laksefjord with agriculture, gardening store, fisheries. The beautiful Lebesby Church crowns the middle of the settlement. There are several marked hiking trails, both local and to other destinations.
The village has a popular road café/diner, which is adjacent to a legendary country store - the Bøgeberg Landhandel, known for an incredible mix of curiosities, foodstuffs, hardware and clothing.
Ifjord
A crossroads between east, west and north in the shadow of the Ifjord mountains. Oace Ifjord is a natural stop for travelers with café, accommodation, fuel and tourist info. This is a hospitable area with salmon and freshwater fishing, hunting and hiking opportunities. It is also a popular winter spot for snowmobiling, ice fishing and skiing or snowshoe treks.
Adamsfjord
The Adamselva river enters the fjord at the Adamsfjord waterfall, where there is also a long and beautiful sand beach with hiking trails.
Kunes
Kunes is an ancient settlement at the head of the Laksefjord. During summer, fishing for salmon in the river Storfjord is a popular activity. It is a great vacation spot for many visitors who arrive around July 20th each year, when the gate to the popular recreation area on Laksefjordvidda opens.
Veidnes
On the Veidnes Spit there is a country store and fisheries. The village is part of a wetland area with shallow beaches and wide marshes, and is known for good fishing, hunting and bird watching opportunities.
