Nordkyn by bicycle

The roads on Nordkyn are scenic and have light traffic, so they are well suited to cycling. Several routes are great for day trips with a lunch stop.

Kjøllefjord to Dyfjord is a 40km round-trip with few steep grades, and a great excursion with a lunch stop at Dyfjordbua. Mehamn to Slettnes Lighthouse is a similar trip, capped by a tour of the lighthouse and lunch at the café in Slettnes.

Or why not combine your trip with a mini-cruise? Bring the bikes on the Costal Route (Hurtigruten/Havila) from Kjøllefjord to Mehamn, enjoy a good meal on board, and then enjoy the 30km bicycle ride back to Kjøllefjord.

If you like dirt roads, we can recommend Skjøtningberg as a destination. It is an abandoned fishing village about 15km by road from Kjøllefjord and has a large and pretty sand beach. Remember to bring a packed lunch!

Hotel Nordkyn offers standard and electric bicycle rentals, and can also assist with luggage transfers if you want to go on longer bicycle trips with overnight stops.
