Year-round Arctic wilderness adventures
Through our Adventure Camp Mehamn, Nordic Safari offers excursions from 2 hours up to an entire week. Explore our exotic local surroundings, discover the Barents region or go international with our snowmobile safari to Finland. Our experienced guides take you on exciting, safe adventures in all seasons.
During winter, we offer snowmobile tours, snowshoe trekking, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and short boat and fishing trips. We provide many opportunities to see the Northern Lights!
In summer and autumn we arrange ATV safaris, jetski excursions, sea fishing and boat trips, bird watching and sightseeing trips, trekking and canoeing/kayaking - all under the Midnight Sun.

King Crab Restaurant Mehamn
The King Crab Restaurant is located in pretty, maritime surroundings at the waterfront. We offer delicious courses based on local produce, often from self-caught fish or king crab in the traditional way, served with bread, salads, mayonnaise, or other specialties from our rich menu. Together with suitable drinks, this is a gastronomical adventure!
On fine summer days, it is also possible to enjoy outdoor refreshments on the quayside.
Skin Fried Cod Filet
As part of the Taste of Nordkyn experience, the King Crab Restaurant offers Skin Fried Cod Filet as its signature dish in addition to delicious king crab and other local seafoods.
Accommodation
Adventure Camp Mehamn is located at Holmen, a point across from the harbor in the exotic fishing village of Mehamn. The camp provides modern fishing huts, a hostel, camping spaces and dining.
Fishing huts
Five fantastic, modern huts with three bedrooms with two quality single beds in each. The fishing huts have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, dining space, and a lively living room with sofas and a TV. Each hut has one bathroom with a shower and WC, and a spacious entrance with great room for outdoor wear and gear.
Hostel
In our main building, we offer 5 simple rooms, with access to a shared kitchen and shower/WC.
Camping
We have 29 roomy parking spaces for RVs, caravans or tents, all with a fantastic view of the fjord and access to electricity. Campers have access to our new, fully equipped service house with a kitchen, freezer, shower, toilets, WiFi and sauna. You can also sit outside on the dock on fine days and enjoy watching life in the fishing village.
Tours, rentals and guidance
We have kayaks, wetsuits, hiking gear, fishing gear, ski gear, suitable clothing, and boats available to rent. We have extensive information about nearby hiking trails and activities available. Our guides speak English, French, German, and Norwegian and possess very reliable local knowledge and wilderness expertise.
